Position: Site Project Manager
Job responsibility:
1. Thoroughly reviews and becomes familiar with all project contracts and supporting documents to determine the scope, schedule, deliverables and resource requirements.
2. Oversees project details, including startup, optimization and on-going operations.
3. Performs boiler performance engineering calculations; reviews operation logs, PI data, fuel, ash and combustion gas analyses to assist with the justification of Fuel Tech products and to assist the client with boiler plant optimization.
4. Coordinates the project team, which may include process engineers, project engineers, technicians, electrical/instruments/controls engineer, field start-up team, vendors and consultants, and the client.
5. Makes field visits to assigned regional sites as required to observe work, review progress, resolve issues and attend project meetings.
6. Communicates and documents project status through project reports, meeting minutes, logs, action lists and all other required communications and records; and assures that all records are appropriately archived.
7. Continually assesses risks and adjusts execution to avoid or mitigate negative consequences.
8. Maintains an awareness of technical developments in assigned areas. Recommends new products or improved sources for goods and services.
9. Ensures the adherence to Fuel Tech policies, procedures, safety plans and assigned goals.
10. Provides ongoing management of Technical Service Representatives and Site Service Technicians to insure that the ongoing equipment operation meets process requirements and customer expectations.
11. Provides ongoing customer interface to maintain a positive Fuel Tech / Customer working relationship.
12. Monitors ongoing equipment operation to verify that the equipment is operating properly and directs the local workforce to maintain the proper operation which includes scheduling routine maintenance and obsolete equipment replacement.
13. Prepares or supervises the preparation of a weekly site service report indicating key operational parameters and key events that have occurred throughout the week.
14. Maintains a record of chemical inventory and assures that inventory levels are always maintained such that shutdowns for lack of inventory do not occur.
